Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6/25/2026

This policy explains, in plain words, what data we use, why, and what you can ask for. Depending on your country, you may have rights under laws such as the LGPD, in Brazil, or the GDPR, in Europe.

1. Who we are and who looks after your data

Noque ("Noque", "we") is the company that makes your condo's management software.

So you understand who answers for your data:

  • Resident data and the condo's day-to-day data (registrations, units, front desk, packages, notices, meetings, charges, and so on) belong to the condo. The condo is the one who decides how this data is used — it is the "controller". Noque only handles this data at the condo's request and following its instructions — it is the "processor".
  • Your account data and your relationship with Noque (your login, the operational emails, and, for the condo that pays, the subscription) stay with us. Here Noque is the one responsible.

In short: if your question is about how your condo uses your data, also talk to the building manager or the administration.

2. What data we use

It depends on your profile and on what you do on the platform. In general:

Who you are and how to reach you: name, email, phone, document (CPF, passport or equivalent, when it makes sense) and profile photo.

Where you live: condo, unit, your role (responsible, co-responsible or resident) and the vehicles and pets you register.

Access and front desk: entry authorizations (for visitors, service providers and staff), entry and exit records, and package records.

Living together: issues, notices, documents, meetings (including attendance), polls and votes, common-area bookings, and the messages you send to support or to the condo.

Financial: charges tied to your unit. For the condo that pays, the subscription data (including partial card data, processed by the payment company).

Technical: the token used to send you notifications on your phone, your notification preferences, email delivery logs, the history of who created or changed each record and when, and the country estimated from your device or IP, which is used only to pre-fill the registration form.

Free-text fields (descriptions, notes, messages) may contain personal data, depending on what you write. Use them responsibly.

We need some of this data to create the account and make the platform work. Without it, you can't finish the registration or use certain features.

3. What we use it for

We use your data to make the service work (create and maintain your account, authenticate access and run the management features), for the condo's safety (access control, front desk, fraud prevention and audit records), to keep you informed (push and email notifications), to understand how the app is used and improve it, to bill the subscription (for the condo that pays), and to comply with the law. For what is optional — such as non-essential communications — we only use it with your authorization, and you can withdraw that authorization whenever you want.

4. Who we share with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with companies that help us make the platform work, and they all handle the data under contract and with security standards. In the app (web and phone) these are:

  • Convex — stores the data, the database and the files;
  • Resend — sends the emails;
  • Expo — sends the notifications on your phone;
  • Stripe — processes the subscription payment;
  • Google (Places) — completes addresses as you type;
  • Vercel — hosts the application;
  • PostHog — measures app usage (screens visited and actions) so we can understand what to improve, on servers in the European Union.

(Noque's website uses other companies of its own, described in the website's policy.)

We may also share data if the law or an authority requires it.

5. Data that may leave the country

Since we serve condos in several countries, your data may be handled outside your country, including in the United States, which is where several of these companies are based (Convex, Resend, Expo, Stripe, Google, Vercel), and in the European Union (PostHog). When this happens, we use safeguards recognized by your country's law — basically contracts that require these companies to look after your data with the same level of protection. When a company already has a recognized adequacy seal, that applies too.

6. How long we keep it

We keep data only for as long as necessary. In practice:

  • Your resident registration: when you delete your account (or within 90 days after leaving the unit, if you don't join another one), the profile is deactivated and what is no longer needed — phone, document and photo — is removed. Your email stays only in the authorship stamps ("created by" / "updated by") of the records you touched, to keep the history of who did what. It is not used to contact you (more on this in §7).
  • The condo's records and the authorship stamps (front desk, packages, authorizations, notices, documents, meetings and the "created by" / "updated by" with the email): they are kept for as long as the condo exists, because they are necessary for the service.
  • When the condo is deleted: when a condo is deleted (or the contract ends), everything that belongs to it is erased — registrations, records and authorship stamps, including the emails — within 60 days.
  • Registrations started and not finished: deleted after 30 days of inactivity.
  • Invitations not accepted: deleted when they expire.
  • Financial and tax data: kept for the period the law requires (for example, 5 years in Brazil), even after the rest is deleted.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, take (port), object to, restrict the use of your data and withdraw an authorization you have given. And you can complain to a data protection authority (in Brazil, the ANPD; in Europe, your country's authority).

  • For data that belongs to the condo (most of it), the request goes to the building manager or the administration, who is the one who decides. Noque helps with the operational side.
  • For data that belongs to Noque (your account, your subscription), talk to us directly at privacidade@noque.app.

Inside the app you can already edit your profile and delete your account. When you delete your account, your access is ended and your profile leaves — phone, document and photo. To keep the history of who did what, your email stays only in the authorship stamps ("created by" / "updated by") of the records you touched — not to contact you. This is kept under a legitimate interest in your condo's accountability, and you can object to it: the request goes to the condo, which decides; Noque only carries it out. This email leaves when the condo is closed (within 60 days). If you make a formal deletion request, we comply with it as the law requires, possibly keeping only the minimum necessary for a legal obligation or to defend rights. And if you are the only person responsible for a unit, you may need to name a replacement before it can be completed.

8. How we protect your data

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, at a level appropriate to the risk: role-based access control (each person sees only what they are allowed to), separation of one condo's data from another's, and protected connections (HTTPS). We also keep the record of who created and updated each item (date and email of who did it), visible to those with permission, for audit purposes. We improve these measures all the time. No system is 100% failure-proof; if something relevant happens, we let you know as the law requires.

9. Minors

The platform is not for people under 18 to create an account, and we do not direct the service at children and teenagers. But a responsible person can register minor dependents (for example, when registering the unit). This data is handled in the minor's best interest and stays under the condo's responsibility, which is the one that must obtain the consent of parents or guardians when the law requires it (the age varies from country to country). If we find out about an account created by a minor without authorization, it is closed and the data deleted.

10. Automated decisions

Noque does not make automated decisions that affect your life based on machine processing alone, with no one looking. If this ever changes, we will let you know and respect your right to ask for a review.

11. Cookies

Cookies are a website thing for Noque, and they are described in the website's cookie policy. The applications (web and phone) use only the technical storage needed to work and keep your session.

12. Talk to us

For any privacy matter, write to privacidade@noque.app.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When that happens, we publish the new version here on this page with the date of the update.
